VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL

Your local hospital is always in need of volunteers. If you are a community member looking to give back, and if you have 30 minutes to an hour to spare in your week or month, they would love your support! Volunteers support a variety of programs like reading to residents, movie nights, playing board games or cards, and more! Contact your local Volunteer Resources Office.

MEALS ON WHEELS – CROWSNEST PASS

Meals on Wheels assists individuals to live independently in their own homes while volunteers provide a welcome daily social contact.

You are eligible to receive Meals on Wheels if you:
· Are elderly or frail
· Are convalescing or ill
· Have mobility problems
· Have vision problems
· Have shopping difficulties

Enjoy a soup, a hot meal, sandwich and desert Monday to Friday, including statutory holidays. You may choose which days you would like a meal to be delivered. Caring and trained volunteers deliver meals anywhere in the Crowsnest Pass.

The Crowsnest Pass SPCA is having a huge donation drive! They are looking for the following items:

• Whiskas Dry Cat Food (Chicken)
• Unscented Clumping Cat Litter
• Pinesol Disinfectant
• Rubber Gloves
• Kitchen Bags
• Paper Towels
• Bleach
• Laundry Detergent HE
• Dryer Sheets
• Litter Scoops
• Metal Food/Water Dishes (Medium Size)
• “Covered” Litter Boxes

If you have any of the following, please drop it off at Morency Plumbing Monday through Friday! If you have any other donations you would like to make, those would be greatly accepted as well. Any donations made during the month of March will give the donor an oppertunity to win a gift certificate for an evening out at the Rum Runner! Thank you so much for your support.
